Another shirt, another band (10/16/05)
So its been a lil' longer than a week. I've been busy but I've managed to locate another band and another shirt for anyone who's reading...

This particular shirt caught my eye. Although I've actually seen a lot of "painter" shirts this one of the better done ones. I especially like the bold red streak down the side that gives the whole thing a nice little punch that makes me wanna yell "BAM!" Oh crap, I hope I don't get sued for copyright infringement... :P anyways, at $15 bucks this shirt won 't break the bank (unlike that prostitute u bought when u were drunk), so enjoy.

Second on this lil' to see list is a up and coming band called The City Drive. This is a band straight out of LA, California who are about to celebrated the release of their first cd. However, they do have three songs that they have released on their website. They are described as powerpop/rock/pop punk. If this confuses you think kind of early New Found Glory...but a bit more pop-ish, or better yet visit their site and check them out for yourself.

A new beginning! (10/03/05)
Ok! Well, this is the first post in what will soon be a weekly periodical about two very awesome things - clothes an music. Recently, I've been very active in scouring the internet for one music and two unique t-shirts. While on this self-imposed quest it has come to my attention that there are several sites that  supply people with a similar service (namely, the source of my inspiration, Preshrunk.com ). However, I wish to differenciate myself from these other sites by bring both MUSIC AND CLOTHING, which as I have stated, are more or less hobbies of mine. Also, I'd like to point out that this is only a semi working prototype to what I want this site to be.

Ok, well I really like this shirt since the cross seems to have a really nice design, and I like the simplicity yet elegance of the whole thing. However, beyond that I love the fact that these people are willing to help out with the world and try and make a difference. So many people these days have such a pessimistic view of human nature. They believe we all are becoming corrupt and uncaring to suffering, yet I believe there is still good and kindness in the world.  In fact, today in response to my essay conclusion, "Ergo, through diction, imagery, and allusion the author fully portrays the fact that people are often impartial to the plight of others. However, in the real world this is not always the case. Generosity and kindness is present throughout the world, and people often will personally connect themselves to the anguish of others," my LA teacher starts to rant on about how this is untrue and that in actuality people suck. And, while I do agree the world is not perfect I can't see how someone can deny that generosity, such as how these people have donated their time and resources to help raise money, can go unnoticed.

This band has recently become my favorite band, especially since I bought their last cd. A mix of indie and pop/power pop, GET SET GO sings songs of girls and love (and sometimes lack there of). They have made a name for themselves singing songs with unrestrained honesty and catchy lyrics. Check them out if you like American Hi-Fi with more base, or like songs about little boys dreaming about being a red firetruck. =P

P.S. GET SET GO is having a special deal right now in which they'll sell you their first cd, "So You've Ruined Your Life." (14 tracks) and a shirt for $9.99 (including shipping).
